OUR VITAL STATISTICS

LOCATION
PGI Direct's corporate office is in Minnetonka, MN. This location also includes our prepress department, web and sheetfed press departments, commercial and direct mail bindery, data processing department, and personalization department. We have a second facility in New Ulm, MN, where additional lettershop operations take place. The two lettershop locations enable us to provide fast, flexible production of mailings and help guarantee jobs are mailed on time. We are also happy to help our customers reduce their postage costs by offering commingling services.

We opened for business in 1983.

PGI employs approximately 300 people.

We have been recognized several times in both the printing and direct marketing industries for our achievements. For several years running, we've ranked in both Printing Impressions' "Who's Who in the Printing Industry," and Target Marketing's "Who's Who in Direct Marketing."

We service three major markets: financial, advertising/marketing, and insurance. We specialize in closed-face match mailings, Snap Paks, and personalized presentation folders with matched inserts (i.e. self-mailers).

SMART MOVES

Strategic size. PGI Direct is big enough to mail over a million packages a day, and small enough to give our customers a lot of individualized attention, including immediate responses to questions and requests. There’s just one person to call for anything regarding your project—from estimating to scheduling to invoicing. No one in the industry can offer faster, more reliable information than our project managers.

Strategic set up. The most important thing about localized production is the ability to quickly respond to our customers’ needs by making changes to schedules at a plant-wide level. Flexible scheduling throughout the entire plant has given PGI an edge in the industry and saved the day for many of our clients.

NOT YOUR EVERYDAY PRINTER

We have made direct mail our lifelong careers and each average about 20 years of industry experience (which is perhaps longer than some of us care to admit). We’ve all handled approximately 10,000 projects during our careers, so we’ve learned what works and what doesn’t. We also bring depth of experience to each direct mail program. Many of us have held multiple positions within the industry and know what it takes to make a project successful. Our can-do attitude, combined with our drive to push the limits of possibility, is what PGI Direct is all about. In fact, we thrive on the projects that other companies turn down—it’s satisfying knowing we can successfully turn out projects others can’t.

WE LOOK AT THE TREES AND THE FOREST

Projects are analyzed from a dual standpoint. From a distance, we look at your goals and create plans for meeting them. Up close, we carefully assess each project and determine the most efficient and economical way to complete it. We check and double-check projects before they move between departments and avoid most common direct mail nightmares. We also work with the US Postal Service, both on-site and at the regional offices. We stay up-to-date on postal compliance and strive to provide every client with maximum postage discounts and postal qualifications.
